Camp Democracy is Camp Casey version 2.0, the successor to the camp established by Cindy Sheehan and friends (Notably including VFP) in Crawford, TX. There was lots and lots of rain the night before and on the morning before we got there. Not much once we arrived.
Audience/particpant ratio was roughly 1
to 1. There were about as many
reporters and camerapeople as there were veterans and related
spokespeople.
Concerned father whose son was sent back
to Iraq after he had been
diagnozed as having post-traumatic stress disorder.
Many interviews were conducted after the
annoucements in the tent. Bravo for the reporters who were
conscientious enough to do this!
